This fantastic Virgil Finlay illustration appeared in Future Science Fiction - September 1951. It depicts a scene from the story "Genesis" by H. Beam Piper. I have seen a lot of Virgil Finlay illustrations, and this is one of the finest that I have ever seen!

My favorite Finlay in your Gallery still is the illustration for Fantastic Adventures from May 1951, but this one truly is an incomparable example of his style and craftsmanship!
