Description

We got this thanks to Mike Peraza's wife, Patty (who was also a Disney artist), and we can't thank her enough for it. Back then, Patty told us: "Mike based Ariel's design on our daughter. I think this is really special since you are getting a drawing based on our daughter for your daughter". Isn't that lovely!

Michael Peraza worked at Disney as art director, layout artist, and conceptual artist. In 2014, he won the Friz Freleng Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Animation and in 2017 he and his wife were recogonized as Disneyana Legends.

His filmography includes titles like The Fox and the Hound, The Great Mouse Detective, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.
