In 1934, Barrow joined the Associated Press in New York as an editorial cartoonist and took over the one panel cartoon done by Milton Caniff, who left the AP, called ‘The Gay Thirties,’ which Caniff originated in The Times-Picayune (New Orleans) in 1933.

The AP restrictions on content were tough, and Barrow moved to the Omaha World-Herald in 1949 as their editorial cartoonist and stayed there through his retirement (1971).

The example here is just a cute take on where it the best seats are in the theater for making out.
