DescriptionThere's just something about seeing the Man of Steel vulnerable. Faster than a speeding bullet but at times he's still unable to save everyone. If you think this cover looks powerful just wait til you see it in person. Rubinstein's inks and shadow work adds a monumental effect. On the bottom of the artwork there's the following message: "Color note - This cover might be more powerful in black and white- not even any color on the logo!" So glad this advice was followed. On a lighter note, this cover reminds me of the successful baby meme. Social/Sharing |

Really nice, Riz. Seeing vulnerability in these larger than life characters, especially a powerhouse like Superman, makes for such emotive, and rare, art. And great call on keeping this black and white for publishing! Congrats!

I absolutely love heavy contrast black and white art, so this is right up my alley! Notice how the editor listened to the notation on the art, uh....but not quite. They just couldn't resist the need to color SOMETHING on the cover!

One of my favorite 'done in one' issues by Jurgens and a strong cover as well ! Congrats my friend !

Wow, this cover is amazing. Definitely more dramatic (and exceptionally cool) in black and white!
