Detective Comics #608 - pg. 4

Breyfogle's run on Detective was really aligned with my Batman reading period. Almost every issue triggers very visceral memories of where I was when I was reading them. I recently picked up several Breyfogle pages and this is one of my favorites.

This issue was the first appearance of Anarky, which later I learned related to some personal explorations and philosophical interests on the part of Alan Grant. Breyfogle is credited as a co-creator.

Artistically, Breyfogle's loose and easy Batman is everywhere, streaking across the top and hidden in the lights in the last panel. Also a great little mini-diatribe in Bruce's head, ending with a very wry "But who am I to talk about strange ways of life?"
