DescriptionI really enjoyed Dale Eaglesham's run on the JSA. The issues, The Kingdom Come story, featuring the Kingdom Come Superman were excellent.I've thought many times about getting a JSA group commission from Dale, but never pulled the trigger. Heck, I never even tried to learn how to contact him or if he takes commission requests. Still, it's been in the back of my mind for a long time. At HeroesCon 2019, I stopped at Spencer Beck's table and was thumbing through the art - as one does - when I saw this. It fully scratches my itch with a nearly complete roster of the JLA and JSA. The roster consists of (L to R):
The empty boxes above and below, in the printed version, provided a roll call of sorts. From the top left, we had:
On the bottom row, we have:
There's no evidence that those headshots and inscriptions ever touched the original art, so I'm guessing that they were added in Photoshop. [I won't do it, but I'm sorely tempted to have them filled in. Maybe, I'll make a copy and have a jam in the boxes and then have it hand colored.] Social/Sharing |

I saw this on The Artists Choice (back in the days when Spencer replied to requests) and fell in love. I foolishly let the empty boxes keep me from pursuing it. So shortsighted. It's fantastic just as it is.

Every time I see one of the great team shots with loads of characters, it just makes me want to read about them even more. Naturally, it also makes me want to buy more art featuring these characters! A fantastic looking piece, Alex, well done!
