Description

This is my all-time favorite Batman image by Byrne! Which may have a lot to do with it being the first time I�d ever seen Byrne do Batman, but I suspect it also has a lot to do with it being aesthetically perfect to my eye (just like Neal Adams doing Batman!). The Art of John Byrne, Vol. 1 became my bible in 1980, and any image from that magical tome can be matted, framed and proudly displayed at Chez Murray�s!

Art from 1979�mounted to an illustration board for an overall size of 11x14.75.

I have always loved this image! I agree that it is my favorite Batman illustration by Byrne. Right up there with Neal Adams, Marshall Rogers, Jim Aparo, etc. as an exemplary Batman piece. Perfection!!

I'm right with you on "The Art of John Byrne"... that book is fantastic. I was totally a Marvel guy, but images like this that got me intrigued about the DC Universe. Batman never looked better to me
