Description

First sketch of San Diego 2001. I skipped San Diego in 2000 because I was in the process of moving to Dallas. Anyway, I heard Rick Berry was going to be there, so I brought out my copy of "Repent, Harlequin!' said the Ticktockman" to get signed (I had already gotten Harlan Ellison to sign it at Aggiecon in 2000). On a whim, I asked him if he did any sketches. He hadn't really thought about it (he was there to sign and sell prints), but he said "yeah, sure, how does $15 sound?" I was just so happy that I told him to do whatever he wanted. So very pleased with the results.
