The last piece about General Patton and the Rhine river was news to me and something I can never "unsee" During WW1 , Irish nationalists used to sing a piece of doggrel called "The Germans are winning the war, me boys " to the Watch On The Rhine tune just to enrage the British Army recruiters
I was sorely tempted to include a copy of the Patton image, but I figured I'd let any readers decide on that for themselves. I will include it when I post on this one at my web site.
