The opportunity for a Rafael Albuquerque commission seemed remote, but popped up suddenly during summer 2019 along with his appearances at several US shows. I had to jump on that list when I had the chance! I’ve always liked Carol becoming Captain Marvel, ever since it was introduced in Avenging Spider-Man 9, and thought this might be a character few would ask Rafael to draw. I dig it!
