Let me preface this by saying that I think that Keyla Valerio is an extremely talented artist and I can't wait to commission another piece from her again.

I ordered two 9x12 commissions, one for my friend and one for me, from Keyla through Cadence Comic Art. She had some commissions in front of mine so I was content to wait. Flash forward to a few months later and Keyla posted on Instagram that she had just finished a batch of commissions and was starting on a Black Cat and Storm commission. Fantastic news! A few days later, she posts an image on Instagram. Really beautiful artwork. I asked her how big the artwork was, and she said 11x17.

I sent Paolo an email asking if the commission was mine and he said yes. I politely asked why it wasn't two 9x12 individual commissions and he said I got an upgrade. I love the artwork but it wasn't what I asked for. He said she is in high demand and I was lucky that I got this beautiful commission instead. This was just another case of Paolo the excuse maker and deal breaker. He then said that if I commissioned an 11x17 piece from her it would be way over the 300 I paid for the two 9x12's. I said the art is beautiful but I just wished I received what I ordered. One of them was a gift for a friend. He said you just can't please everyone and ended our communication. Total unprofessional and I vowed to never order from Cadence again.

Now that she no longer is repped by Cadence I look forward to getting something else from Keyla.
