Description

Arkham Manor #06 (2015) original cover art for "The Sacrifice". This is the final issue in the 6-issue mini-series stemming from events in Batman Eternal 30 where the Spectre destroyed Arkham Asylum. This cover features Batman soaring down with Wayne Manor (aka Arkham Manor) in the background with bats everywhere. I love the composition and framing here with the flowing cape framing out the Manor. The scores of Bats in the background are a nice analogue to the main Bat himself in the foreground. And like all of Shawn's covers, his trademark style is very evident.

The art was digitally penciled and hand inked / brushed over printed blue lines by Shawn Crystal and is on 11"X17" art board. Signed by Shawn to the right just below Batman.
