I had to start re-reading this story because I kept getting distracted by the art. I met a fantastic fan on CAF who shared information with me that lead me to Colleen. Her work in general is Fantastic, and I'm looking forward to acquiring more.

Unbelievable visual texture here. At the risk of sounding overblown, each different element here (whether it is a tassel, a tile, hair, a curtain, a scale...) adds a distinct note to the page until the overall effect on the viewer is a resounding, symphonic chorus of visual brilliance. I "hear" lots of strings when I look at this; a warm and organic swell, like this piece shouldn't so much be ink on paper as made from fabric (if that makes -any- sense at all...). Utterly transportive, inventive, and stunning. A -brilliant- piece, Mikail. My sincerest congrats!
