This is actually an older piece that is based on a yet OLDER piece, which was drawn in a Manga style to boot. My girlfriend said that I was able to convey a lot of expression in a character with his/her eyes closed so I re-used the concept for this piece. Black Cat was an afterthough, part of me wonders if I should have put her there...
