Description

I got this during Mochi's Extra Life campaign this year.

The Ruby Ruler is a member of another of Earth-49's JLA knockoffs, the Justice Nuns. Yes it's a Justice League made up entirely of nuns. She's their Green Arrow stand-in, based on the type of crusty elderly nuns most of his have probably encountered in their lives. Her real name is Sister Bernadette because when I imagined her, Bernadette felt proper.

In-universe, the Justice Nuns were imagined by a Sister who wanted to create a more positive example of religious figures as heroes. The Justice Nuns' first adventure had them stepping in to stop a hate group from attacking a Gay Pride Parade. The Ruby Ruler in particular was motivated to become a heroine after her nephew attempted suicide because he was being bullied for being gay.
