Description

This was intended to be the Splash page to a story about "Japateurs" during World War II. I like it better than the image they used. Great very early Subby drawing back when he had a barrel chest and pointy chin and hated humans but would still manage to find some human he liked enough to rescue, especially if they were being bullied by "Japanazis" (he would also compromise if the human in trouble happened to be a hot "dame")

This was not published in 1942 but it was featured in the "Marvel Vault" book which was edited by Roy Thomas (who probably salvaged this page from the old files)
