'The Art of Sherlock Holmes' Lithographic Interior Art Print by J.R. Linton

This is a rare lithographic print of the art for my Sherlock Holmes novella, co-authored with E.R. Bower, titled, "Sherlock Holmes and the Other Eye." The story was originally published in 'Sherlock Holmes: The Crossovers Casebook,' edited by the late Howard Hopkins. In 2019, it was reprinted in a large-format coffee table book called 'The Art of Sherlock Holmes' and was accompanied by this piece of artwork.

Sometimes, it's odd to see your work interpreted by an artist. In this case, J.R. Linton is a really nice guy who specializes in tattoo art. The end-result was one of the most unique interpretations generated from something I wrote. What I love most about this particular print is that it is authorized by the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle estate. It features their imprimatur in the margin, but best of all any proceeds from the story and the artwork go to support Doyle's former UK home, Undershaw, and the Stepping Stones children's school that is now located there.
