Description

This is dated for the March 1966 issue but I am not sure whether it was actually used in that or some other issue. Probably. Just don't know.

What makes it interesting is that it depicts a hippie (or a "beatnik", not sure what the intent is) flying on a surf board. And it's dated the same month that Marvel debuted the Silver Surfer, by Jack Kirby.

What makes that even more interesting is that the editor of SICK at the time was none other than Joe Simon, former and erstwhile partner to Jack Kirby (they co-created Captain America in 1940).

Were Joe and Jack still in touch? Their respective offices weren't far away? Was Joe inspired by Jack's surfer? Or Jack by Joe's> Or did both of them come up simultaneously and coincidentally with a character who rode a flying surfboard?

It has to be one of the above. And I'm not sure which is the most interesting.
