DescriptionOriginal splash page for Dylan Dog by Angelo Stano, n° 1.Angelo Stano was born in Santeramo in Colle on the 6th of January 1953. After graduating in Arts in 1971 he moves to Milano. In 1975 he realizes some one-shot stories for the weekly “Audax” directed by Nino Cannata for the “Arnoldo Mondadori Editore” other than some short war episodes for the “Editoriale Dardo”. In the following years he collaborates with other publishing houses such as “Ediperiodici”, “Edifumetto”, “Staff di If”, “Corrier Boy” and “Universo”. In 1985 he becomes part of the team that works on the creation of a new horror comic series for the “Sergio Bonelli Editore” which is “Dylan Dog”, character ideated by Tiziano Sclavi. Stano draws the first albo of the series, “L'alba dei morti viventi”, showing his style to be inspired by Egon Schiele’s. The albo is out in October 1986. Then, in the following years he draws other stories for “Dylan Dog” for the regular series and other publications as well. In 1990 he becomes the author of the covers of the album of “Dylan Dog” substituting Claudio Villa starting from n.42 of the series. He then keeps working with Tiziano Sclavi on projects relating “Dylan Dog”: in 1991 “Tarocchi di Dylan Dog” and “Intervista a Dylan Dog” written by Giordano Berti get published by “Lo Scarabeo” settled in Torino. In 1992 he gets awarded the “Premio Bonaventura” prize of “Treviso Comix” for the reprinted hardcovers of the “Arnoldo Mondadori Editore” dedicated to “Dylan Dog”. Social/Sharing |

Mi unisco al coro degli increduli :) Possibile che né Stano, né Sclavi, né Bonelli abbiano pensato di tenersi stretta questa storica perla? Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Una pagina che dire storica è dire poco. Anch'io non pensavo facesse parte di una collezione privata. Grazie per averla condivisa.

Il pezzo più desiderabile da un collezionista di DYD o forse il secondo se pensiamo alla copertina di Villa. Goditela!!
