The Spectre by John Byrne

I was extremely happy to add a John Byrne piece to my collection and the Spectre is one of those DC characters that I am particularly fond of.

I think that along with Walter Simonson, Frank Miller and Howard Chaykin, John Byrne is one of the finest writer/artists in the industry and was a big fixture in my early comic collecting days.

The Spectre, because of the simplicity of his design can be made to seem a little dull in lesser hands but the dramatic foreshortening used by Byrne really makes this piece pop for me.
