Description

DC Comics of the early 1970s often tackled topics of social interest. This two-issue Superboy story deals with prison reform. Superboy has been taken captive during a prison riot. He's given the prisoners a hunk of Kryptonite to ensure his good conduct, and they have forced him to experience the deprivations of prison life firsthand. But the leader of the prison revolt has gone too far, and his co-conspirators are going to have to step in to save the life of Superboy. This dark tale features much dark inks than typical in this series. Do not ask where they got a coffin made of lead, or how they lifted it atop the prison wall. How many tons would that weigh? The angle between the railing and the wall implies that the wall has a substantial outward slant.
