Description
I discovered the art of Jake Murray in 2017 when I saw his spectacular illustration of Rey on her speeder being chased by scavengers on planet Jakku. It was titled "Scavenger Scrap" and was sold as an exclusive print at the Star Wars Celebration that year. I was bummed after learning Scavenger Scrap was rendered all digitally and there was no physical art, but I was able to grab this equally impressive painting of Darth Vader from Jake.

The painting is oil on paper mounted to masonite board. It was originally commissioned by Fantasy Flight Games for their Star Wars Destiny card game and later released as a limited edition lithograph print by Acme Archives. The painting measures 20 1/4" X 30" unframed.

I love how the light reflects off of the Stormtrooper armor.  The reddish hue almost looks like the Stormtroopers have just come from wiping out an enemy, making them more frightening.
