Description

Commissioned from Romeo in 2020.

One of my favorite Titans moments is in the story Day in the Life, where Victor Stone, feeling sorry for himself, meets a child playing baseball. When Vic hands the ball back, the child looks shocked and says mister your hand. Victor fears the child thinks he�s a monster, when he suddenly exclaims: wow it�s real neat-I wish they gave me one like that. Vic discovers that Johnny and his friends have prosthetic limbs and spends an afternoon playing baseball. And feels human when he was feeling like a freak.

Romeo Tanghal inked that story in New Teen Titans 8. Commissioning him for this piece was a joy. I had two prelims from him the same day I pitched the idea. He suggested including the teacher Sarah Simms, some of Johnny�s teammates, and setting the scene after Vic has returned the ball, and showing Vic�s surprised smile.
