BAMBI "FLOWER" PRODUCTION CEL COURVOISIER SET UP (Walt Disney, 1942)

"Oh, that's alright. He can call me a Flower if he wants to." This is an absolutely adorable image of the little skunk with the ironic nickname from one of Disney's most popular feature film. It is in the original Courvoisier Galleries setup that it was sold in nearly 80 years ago. Courvoisier Galleries sold these cel setups from Disney films from 1937 to 1946 in art galleries and high-end department stores throughout the US. This hand-inked and hand-painted nitrate production cel was meticulously trimmed around the image and placed over a custom airbrushed background. Flower measures 2.25" x 2.25" and is still in the Courvoisier mat with the character's name lightly handwritten in the lower left and a WDP stamp in the lower right. The mat measures 11" x 12" with an opening of 4.5" x 6".

I cannot tell you how much I love Flower's expression. I have other Bambi pieces in my collection- but no Flower!
