Description
I have always wanted to own this particular piece after being stunned by it in the first issue of Cap Reborn over a decade ago. So lucky and blessed to finally own it along with the second issue's spectacular action double splash. Bryan Hitch's depiction of Cap in the Ultimates is great and is responsible for MCU look, but this redesigned WW2 look for the 616 universe really struck a chord with me. I have a t-shirt with this art as well as the Art Asylum Marvel Minimates figure that came with the Cap Through the Years set.

Congrats on such a personally meaningful get, and it's not hard to see why it was a target for you!  A powerful and brooding Cap here and the overall detailing throughout the image is exquisite - must be a sight in person!

Thanks, AK! Normally don't like this kind of pose for Cap, prefer action shots, but this one by Bryan Hitch just captured the character's spirit and reverence for the soldiers who sacrificed themselves.

Both Hitch and Guice were in top form on this project and their styles meshed beautifully ! Incredible splash !
