Description

Paul created this wonderful painting, one of his very best, as the cover art for “The Jaws of Menx” by Ann Maxwell, published by Signet/New American Library in 1981. It was also used as the cover art for the German edition of L. Sprague de Camp’s “The Prisoner of Zhamanak”, published by Heyne Science Fiction & Fantasy in 1984.

It was also featured in Vincent Di Fate’s “Infinite Worlds: The Fantastic Visions of Science Fiction“ published by The Wonderland Press in 1997.

According to Jane Frank, Alexander's agent, this was one of his favorite pieces, one that he never intended to sell. It's in the original frame as it hung on his wall.

Been pondering this one myself. Great piece. Paul Alexander had that magic touch for a unique mood in his art!
