Jordi Bernet, Chiara di Notte. China su cartoncino, cm 40x30.

Jordi Bernet was born in Barcellona on the 14th of June 1944.
He is the son of Miguel Bernet, a comic artist known as �Jorge� in the 1930s, and since he�s just a kid he shows to have the talent for the draw and at fifteen years old he starts working for the Great Britain making war stories.
He then collaborates for a long time with the weekly �Spirou� and in the 1970s he creates for German editor �Wat 69�, a very sexy and funny heroine, sort of Little Annie Fanny style, and to �Andrax�, a sci-fi series very popular in Germany.
He realizes �Sarvan� and �Kraken� on Antonio Segura�s texts for Spain.
Finally, at the beginning of the 1980s arrives the big occasion. Alex Toth that drew on Enrique Sanchez Abuli�s the first two stories of �Torpedo�, an Italian little gangster that lives in NY in the 1930s, doesn�t connect to the character and abandons the project. The character is given to Bernet. That is how he conquers international popularity.
From the first middle of the 1990s he draws �Chiara di Notte�, very good humoristic pieces that rotates around the character of the prostitute of Chiara and her world, on Carlos Trillo�s texts.
