Description

For about two years now, I've been on a quest to find an Adam Hughes sketch. Originally, I had hoped for a 3/4 view head sketch or, at best, a half-body profile—nothing too extravagant, just something a bit out of the ordinary compared to the usual quick head profiles.

It felt like an endless pursuit because either the sketches were consistently overpriced, or they simply didn't catch my interest. That is, until I stumbled upon this gem that surpassed all my expectations. While it still falls into the traditional head profile, it's remarkably well-fleshed-out. What sets it apart is the depiction of not just one, but two characters on a substantial 11 x 17 bristol board (see additional photo).

What I particularly adore about it is the portrayal of Batman and Catwoman leaning in for a kiss (or at least, that's the vibe I'm getting). Catwoman leans forward with her eyes closed, while Batman, a bit more restrained, keeps his eyes open—uncertain about whether to trust her or not. It's like a scene straight out of Hush.
