Originalmente publicado en la revista Pocholo de la Editorial Hispano Americana. Martz Schmidt pseudónimo de Gustavo Martínez Gómez) realizó la mayor parte de su obra para la Editorial Bruguera. El personaje de la criada Mersé es clavadito a Panchita, la criada de "El Doctor Cataplasma", serie creada por Martz Schimdt para Bruguera en 1953.
