My studio mate John Hutchinson and myself are currently in the process of having our website built. This piece is possibly gonna end up being the opening page of the site. The story behind it is simple: PencilingMadStudios attended the Wizard East Convention in Philadelphia in May '04, debuting this first issue of our book "THE BEAR KING". While there in artist alley I had a dude look through my portfolio and asked me if I did graffiti art. I laughed and told him that I was a country boy and that the only thing that I could paint on around my home would be the cows. He and I laughed and then John and i laughed some more about it as we drove home from the show. I decided to do a pic of a cow that had just been vandalized and was none too pleased about it. This is the resulting inked sketch. Enjoy!
