I love the book that this page is from.

(easily a top 10 all time)

This book was published BY Wildstorm to help GAIJIN celebrate THEIR 10th anniversary as a studio.

Yeah. A comic book publisher printing a book for a studio of artists.

Gaijin and their friends and former studio mates did the art for the ENTIRE issue.

Three stories all written by the best in the bid-ness, too.

(Brian Azzarello, Warren Ellis, and Paul Jenkins.)

The thing that made this book extra special, was the little "history of" in the back that included quotes from a bunch of the contributors.

Gaijin Studios and Wildstorm Productions will always go hand in hand to me, because I discovered all the talented folks at both right at around the same time.

Such a great damn idea with flawless story telling and awesome art from front to back.

(except inside back cover. it's an ad for other DC books... shame)

Marks my second piece from this book.

The other is the Joe Phillips/Jason Martin Spartan/Voodoo pinup.

PS the seller of the page sent me a copy of the book signed by Cully Hamner, Adam Hughes, Goerges Jeanty, and Brian Stelfreeze as a surprise!!

Now this is really interesting. I guess I'm just so used to seeing Brian's color work that it's become easy to forget he actually does work in b&w as well. Love the storytelling on this page with just the two panels. The first one sets up the fight, and the second panel is just blood. Nuff said. Very cool.

Stelfreeze gives a real sense of motion to Zealot on this page. Everything he produces is gold, this page being no exception.
