Description

A Kewpie illustration by creator Rose Cecil O'Neill who was the first published American woman cartoonist. I've been searching for a non-Kewpie illustration, but this was too good to pass up.

I think you were "forced" into the right decision. These illustrations are wonderfully cute. I've known about Kewpie since coming to Japan (little plastic Kewpie dolls are still easily found and a major food corporation took it as its symbol and namesake), but I was unaware of O'Neill's art until introduced to it by one of Trina Robbins' books.
