Description

For me the most powerful page from the whole historic issue beautifully rendered by Ivan Reis.
From Bendis' script:

Page 12-
Six equal sized panels. The same image. The same size. The
same silhouettes.
Alex, I see this as more slightly off-white and black. Maybe
a silvery white on black.
1- Outside Perry's office window looking in. in complete
silhouette. Wide. Two shot. Perry stands at his desk as
Clark walks in.
There is clutter all over the desk Between them.
2- Same. Perry does not sit down even as Clark gestures him
to. He refuses. Perry gestures Clark to get to whatever this
is.
3- Same. Perry stops what he’s doing because Clark has
clearly opened up his jacket and shirt in that CLASSIC iconic
way.
But he is not facing us and we cannot see. But we know.
4- Same. Perry Sits/ falls down into his chair.
5- Same. Perry gets up and steps towards his friend. As if
for the first time.
6- Same. Perry gets up and hugs his friend. Not only does
Perry love Clark and Superman but Superman saved his wife’s
life from cancer.
I always think of that when I think about Perry. What could
be more important than that?

A true gem. Thanks again and forever, Ivan!
