I think Gen 13 was the first or second #1/2 issue distributed by Wizard. You had to mail in a certificate and $10 or something. I remember waiting months for it. Then one of my friends got his issue in the mail. And then I waited a couple more months for mine. By now, Gen 13 was the hottest book in the market. If Wizard didn't send me a copy, it would be pretty impossible to find a copy somewhere else. I asked my older brother if he could write a letter to Wizard and ask for my comic. He was like, "write your own damn letter." So 12-yr-old me had to send a letter to Wizard that said, "You took my damn money. Where is my book?" Then two weeks later, I got my book in the mail. It was only like 10pages with no Campbell art but I was really excited reading it.

Great moment for Grunge here. Benjamin's Freefall is perfect and very reminiscent of Campbell's. And I love how Burnout looks on his descent; very powerful.
