DescriptionI'm more of a bronze-age comic art sort of guy but when I saw this drink and draw "sketch" that Dan did when I woke up one morning I didn't even hesitate to reach out to him.He really captured something special. Social/Sharing |

An excellent find. I love that gnarly old tree in the background. And it's so great for Val to have her name emblazoned on a woodland trail; better than having a street named for you any day!

WOW. SO many elements coming together in this one to produce a work with ASTONISHING impact. Holy moley...! The dark shading here on the bottom edges of this piece not only compliment the incredible detail of the harsh and unforgiving landscape (where Valk seems right at home), but also channels the eye directly where the artist intends, to Valkyrie herself. There's no escape for the viewer's eye, as the glorious tangle of bramble and rock prevents any exit; the viewer simply MUST end up at Valkyrie. Then, she further "stands out" due to the dark tree behind her... and the hand-lettering? Fuhgeddaboudit. Incredible work. Congrats on both grabbing this one fast and your excellent taste in *cough* "sketches"... :)

Everything about this is perfect! The staging, background, inking and his take on the character. Thanks for sharing!

This is a true beauty. It incorporates everything that Panosian does so well. Striking figurework set against perfect background detail and even showcases the incredible use of lettering that makes Dan so special.
Take good care of her for me Steve. It is a terrific example.
