Description

The same day I saw my Daredevil by Federico Mele, I ordered a Spider-Man to go along with it. The request was the same: draw him beaten up. And Federico did!

Now THIS is a Spider-Man you don't want to mess with! The drips of blood running down his face. The strains of hair coming out of his mask. The cuts and mean look.

I love those very few moments in the comics where Peter really shows off what he can, when he's pissed off enough to do so. Spider-Man is a great and fun superhero, but sometimes the gloves have to come off. And I think this piece captures that feeling pretty well. Size is 9x12.

Federico loved the "beaten-up" idea so much, he might do more of it in the future - and some artists were joking about doing it, too.

Update of 1st of August 2022: Very glad to be able to share that this piece was published in Federico Mele's very first art collection book on his watercolour skills: "Colors & Lines Volume 1".
