DescriptionThis is a piece that takes me back. I remember being on the edge of my seat as a kid, wondering if Spidey was going to join the team. Happy to have a page from the story. It's a fun one, too. Lots of good character dialogue, especially the no respect from lava men line. Social/Sharing |

Really fun splash. I vividly recall buying it off the stands. Sinnott's inks were so good over Milgrom in this time period.

Awesome splash page! 1st appearance of Rodney Dangerfield Spider-Man? He doesn't get any respect either!

What a page! Wow. That's an Avengers grail. Bravo!

Love this splash. I don't know why, but other than the Spidey scene, my favorite part is that Cap seems to be having a discussion with a Lava Man. "But does the heating work? I really don't do well in the cold." Congrats!

I remember this issue well, and although i was not a massive fan of Milgrom, his issues on Avengers and other titles i read, does seem to be firmly in my nostalgic zone.
Goes to show you dont need to spend 5 figures to get something enjoyable, well done.

Really great splash, and such a wonderful roster of characters. Spidey, She-Hulk and Scarlet Witch are my faves on this one.

Oh, and the Wasp too! Didn't see her at first.

Similar nostaligic vibe for me! Back when it was special to see Spidey show up as a guest start (and shocking to think of him potentially joining a 'team')--and he still felt like an outsider, which was so relatable...
