Description

Richard Powers cover painting for the first edition hardback of the novel "Our Children's Children" by Clifford Simak. This book was published by G. P. Putnam's Sons, New York (1974). This piece was also featured as a plate in Powers' Spacetimewarp Portfolio as the fFlarian "The Corpus of the Ur-Hero". It was also used as the cover for the Berkley Medallion paperback in 1975. Wonderful! I always loved the surrealist quality of his work, and this captures that perfectly.
