Description

This piece is fantastic on so many different levels. First, Adam is one of the greats and his work is always high on aesthetic value. Second, this cover is an homage to Gustav Klimt's famous work, The Kiss, which is displayed in the Austrian Gallery Belvedere. Third, there is a lot of meaning in the piece for me. As Hawkman and Hawkgirl have laid down their tools of destruction to embrace each other, so too do married couples day-in and day-out...spouses go out and do battle outside the home (and sometimes in the home), but at the end of the day, each needs to lay down those battle tools to embrace each other to keep a marriage alive. This is a very special piece to me and one that I will prominently display.
