Description

Well this is a dream commission for me - a piece that captures my favorite GI Joe story, the Snake-Eyes Trilogy (G.I Joe #94-96). The story had it all *spoilers*; Scarlett was shot in the head by Baroness, Snake Eyes was unmasked (they showed his face!), he spoke a single word aloud (Scarlett!), he gets his face fixed, gets his face burned, gets captured, a new costume, hunted in Cobra tower (destroys it) and escapes...and we learn of Baroness' past! And the best part? The story was drawn by MD Bright!

Mark “Doc” Bright is one of the absolute best artist’s to have worked on GI Joe, so I was excited when he agreed to do this commission, and I gotta say - he exceeded my expectations! Snake Eyes looks so mean under that mask, his costume looks great and Mark nailed all the details on Baroness and the Cobra trooper costumes. If you look closely, he included Destro on the Tele-Viper’s portable monitor - straight out of the original story. I can’t wait to get this framed and on the wall!

For a moment I thought this was a G.I. Joe cover that I had somehow missed. It's that good!
