I've collected Ben's work for quite awhile. I've always enjoyed quick chats with him at cons, and I've always loved his work. People don't appreciate him the way they should. When I stopped collecting for a few years, Ben was one of the only artists I continued to hit up for commissions even if it was only once a year. It worked out since he frequently made me wait FOREVER before he inevitably delivered on something awesome. This piece wasn't a commission, it was part of a sale he did in the fall to cover some dental bills I think. I wish I had bought more in that sale, but getting this piece made up for not being able to get a bunch of pieces.
