Description

I love Dave Gibbons and I love Dick Sprang’s Batman and this piece is drawn by Dave Gibbons in a style that homages Dick Sprang’s Batman so I was quite taken with the piece when I saw it.

It’s drawn on two pieces, the Batman figure was drawn on a standard 11x17 art board and then the supporting cast and elements were drawn on a piece of art feel at and the final published image was a composite of the two pieces.

Dave Gibbons clean art style is a perfect fit for Silver Age DC and I have always loved the handful of comics he’s illustrated set in that era. Really happy to have my Dave Gibbons piece be this one.
