Tutenstein #1 cover: Spider-Man, Wolverine & X-Men appearance.

Spider-Man and the X-Men take a group of kids from Xavier's school to an Egyptian exhibit where they are given a tour by Cleo. Tutenstein, jealous of all the attention being paid to King Tut's artifacts, decides to go back in time and take out his rival Tut. Wolverine and Spidey are sucked through the portal and end up battling demons in the Egyptian desert. Other demons also travel through the portal to menace Cyclops, Storm, Rogue and Cleo. When Osiris shows Tutenstein what his meddling has caused, he closes the portal and returns to the museum without accomplishing his goal but raising his coolness factor.

Tutenstein was a cartoon on the Discovery channel that ran 5 seasons from 2003-2008. This cartoon series follows the adventures of Tut-ankh-en-set-amun, a 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy on display at a museum who is revived in the present day by a bolt of lightning. You'd think someone who's been dead for three millenniums would be a bit more humble after returning to life, but once an egotistical boy king, always an egotistical boy king. Now a confused blend of zombie pharaoh and Frankenstein's monster, this reanimated ruler adapts to his modern-day surroundings with the help of young friend Cleo and her talking cat, Luxor.

Not too often you get to buy a Marvel #1 cover. Very happy to get this one!
