Tina 89 (1978)

Juliana Buch i Trabal (* 1942 or 1943; † October 31, 2016) was a Spanish cartoonist. Her realistically drawn girl comics are known throughout Europe.

The Barcelona artist worked since the early 1970s through agencies for the foreign comic book market. Her works can be found in particular in DC Thomson's British girls' comic magazines such as Bunty or Mandy (later Mandy & Judy, still later M&J), as well as those of Fleetway, p. Eg Tammy and Pink. Several of her series for Pink have been published in German by Gevacur en Melanie.

Buch also worked for the French (Tina, Cathy, etc.) and Dutch magazines Tina (Oberon) and Penny (Holco Publications) and was also active in the German-speaking market: in the 1980s she drew numerous Vanessa comics for Bastei and Lissy for Conpart in the 1990s. His comedic work continued until at least the early 2000s.
