Description

A recreation Bill did at SDCC. I was talking to him and said the only thing I never understood about the cover was why Moon Knight was on it. He replied "That's easy, Marvel said he had to be." I then asked what he thought about doing a version without Moon Knight, and he said it sounded like a great idea (or something like that - definitely a positive response).

Interesting. Not having read the story, I guess I never questioned why Moon Knight would be on a Moon Knight cover. I liked the original version, with Moon Knight almost drawn as a spectre hovering over the dead body. So the cover did make sense to me. I do like this "recreation" as a stand alone illustration. It's got a nice femme fatale, black widow, thing going on.

Love this! MK 24 is my favorite Sienkiewicz cover, and this is quite possibly an improvement on the original!
