Fabulous! Hannigan's covers with Janson during this period were some of the most electrifying and striking. Janson adds the great texture and energy to the definitive images the Hannigan provided. When an element of the art intrudes into the logo, you have to guess Hanningan's name.
There are two gods on this cover. The guy holding the hammer, and the guy who inked it.
I like that! Janson was never shy about imposing his style - lucky for us!

Oh dude, this one FLOORS me!! Just the immense power that Thor is showcasing. And isn't that JUST how us mere mortals would react if we saw such a regal & commanding being standing there amidst an awe-inspiring display of lightning. "Iconic" is definitely the right word to describe the cover that Hannigan and Janson created here. Major congrats!!!

Lightning bolt! Lightning bolt! Methinks Hannigan brought down the hammer with this cover. What a perfect Thor layout. And Janson was picking up what Ed was putting down, and brought the gravitas inks. That whiteout lightning is an excellent choice. This was one of my favorite covers, too. Big congrats!
Certainly among the best 80s Thor cover, so powerful! Always hard to portray lightning in comics but Hannigan and Janson nailed it to dramatic effect. Another winner Dino!
