Description

There is no caption for this Stuart Hay cartoon-illustration, but judging from the style of the artwork and signature, it looks to be from the mid-1920s. Oddly composed, the illustration features a cowboy atop a wooden horse, shooting at hats in the air. You can see the heavy shadows and structure in a piece like this, much more angular than Hay's later work.
