DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR THE LINK IN OUR FEBRUARY 2021 AUCTION!14.25x21.5" Strathmore artboard has pen and ink original art by Joe Kubert. Art is for page 9 of Our Fighting Forces #33, published by DC, May 1958. Page from Frogman in a Net story features five panels, showing USN frogmen in combat action. Page shows underwater blasts from mines and team extraction by tow ropes pulled by a PT Boat. Top margin has stat title/logo and handwritten issue/page numbers. Right lower margin has "*Night..." written in ink. Reverse has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Artboard has lt, tan staining upper right edge and some scattered soiling/dust soiling at margins, but art remains clean and VF overall. A beautiful example of Joe Kubert's masterfully fine inking work throughout. Social/Sharing |
