Description

Here's a sweet splash from Eastman and Laird from TMNT #50. No turtles but I love the cityscape (including the Trump Building!) and the villain ninja who has just massacred some members of the Foot Clan.

By the time this issue was released in 1992 Eastman and Laird had pretty much stopped working together due to creative differences. They collaborated again to create the City at War storyline that started in #50. They did #50 together, although other artists like Jim Lawson finished the series. And other than the occasional TMNT artwork piece for charity, Eastman/Laird never worked together again on another TMNT comic.

Very early Turles pages are getting pricey and I will probably never be able to afford one now but this is still a great prize for me. Measures 8" by 12" like the other early Duotone boards (second photo shows back) that were originally cut in half to save money. It has also been signed/sketched by both Eastman and Laird. That's akin to finding a Beatles song lyric signed by Lennon and McCartney!
