DescriptionAge of Apocalypse is the storyline I have the best memories of reading as a kid. I was still too young / new to comics to understand the X-men universe would revert (mostly) back to normal in a few months. I still go back and re-read this story from time to time, and this is still one of my favorite versions of Wolverine. Even today I can't think of many comics I've read since that top AOA for me.When I first got into OA, this was one of the first covers I was able to track down and buy. Big thanks to Adam Kubert for agreeing to let it go! I still need to get the stat fixed on this one! (Anyone have any recommendations on who to use?) Social/Sharing |

I share your deep affection for Weapon X and the AoA. This is a fantastic cover. I can't imagine the amount of happiness this must bring to your collector's heart to own such a memorable piece of work from your early comic reading days. Thank you for sharing it here.

AOA was the first crossover I really paid attention to as well. But I got sucked in by Generation Next. So many great X-artists working on that crossover.
Congrats on a killer cover from a great series.

One of the most eye-catching covers of the AoA! It was deemed too hot for some markets, and was replaced with a closeup shot of Weapon X from an interior page in some non-US editions. :) I own the cover art to Weapon X #1 and my solution to the stat logo issue was to remove the title stats and put them on a copy of the art, framed next to the art itself. That way I kept everything together and original, but I could still enjoy the entire image without it being covered up. But that really only works if you plan to frame it, obviously.
